Individual Counseling Services
Children 6-12: With younger children, we may engage in therapeutic play, art, or movement. As parents, you may be involved or may not, depending on the needs of your child.
Age 13-17: As a teenager, you will be respected for your experience, autonomy, and wisdom as you move toward your goals.
18+: LGBTQIA+ young adults face a variety of stressors that may or may not have to do with being queer. You can bring your authentic self to therapy and be heard.
Topics that some clients discuss here include: gender dysphoria, asexuality, relationships, depression, anxiety, disordered eating, disability, trauma, neurodivergence, and the stress of being queer in the current world environment.
Therapeutic Groups
We offer a variety of therapeutic groups:
Therapeutic Art Groups
Parents of Gender Expansive Kids Support Groups
Retreats and workshops
Groups are forming now. Please reach out and let us know which group you are interested in and who would be attending.
For Parents and Families
Support for Parents: Parents can request support and education as part of their child’s therapy program (with the client’s consent).
See also: parent support groups.
Family Counseling: Ongoing conflict or tension in the family as the system adjusts to changes can be addressed as the primary counseling focus or as occasional check-ins with the child as the therapeutic focus.
For couples or relational counseling for queer people, see Lysios Counseling.
